Rhiannon O'Bannon

Her beginning: August 5, 1992 in Carrollton, TX 

Her Name: She is named after the Celtic Goddess of the Birds which is appropriate due to the fact that she "chatters" to attract them to her if there are birds outside the window. O'Bannon was added on because of the rhyme factor and to add another dimension of Celtic-ness to her name.

Her Story: Rhiannon's story was first taken up when a friend saw her tossed out of a car window in a suburban area. (Thus she has some issues with riding in cars and can be a real pain getting into a cat carrier.) She was "saved" by a cat loving person, taken to the vet for inspection and then "advertised" by this savior for adoption. At that time in Dallas, TX, this savior could not find anyone to take an all black cat. So I was called to ask if I or anyone I knew would take her since I already had a black cat. I had been considering getting another black cat myself, so I jumped at the chance to take this one. I was warned that she was a little pistol. After meeting her, I realized this to be very true. I foolishly assumed she would grow out of it. She has not. But she still remains a very loving and sweet kitty that my heart has become enmeshed with. We all love Rhiannon! She went through a very hard time when the older male cat was ill and had to be put to sleep. But her naturally loving nature took this depression and turned it around to dote more love on Felicia and the new cat, Merlin. Rhiannon is an inspiration to us all and our lives are very blessed because of her.

Unique Habits: dunks all her toys in the water bowl for baptism, sharpens her claws on wood only, when caught doing something she's not supposed to do she will look guilty and run away with her back hunched up, lies in the sun to warm her belly, sleeps under blankets, likes to hide in closets, jumps in the air and catches paper wads with her front paws, likes boxes and other things to get inside

Favorite place to be petted: on her neck and under her chin

Occupations: (she has several to support her eating habits) food taster, Mafia food enforcer, Baptist preacher, super heroine Destructo Kitty concentrating on chewing evil tissues

Future Plans: to eat, to open a kitty spa with Felicia and conduct play therapy seminars, to make the Guinness World Records for highest jumping kitty
