Poetry
My first love is poetry and I have been writing it since I was in elementary school. Some poems have been published in anthologies.  The style is usually free verse, although some rhyming poems have been written.
I have a collection of poems ready for publication.

Travel
I love to travel and to write about my adventures.

Prose
I studied journalism and literature in high school and college which allowed the opportunity for writing articles and essays.  In graduate school, I wrote several literary research articles.  I accumulated more experience while teaching essay writing to college freshmen.  I have also been on the staff of several school and community newspapers and newsletters.

Fiction
I have extensive experience in this area including short stories, children's stories and even an occasional novel.  The short story genre experiences include many creative writing and journal writing classes both taken by and taught by myself.  I am currently working on a collection of science fiction short stories.  I have two novels in process:  one regarding family patterns and one on love relationships.

Other
I am an avid reader and write book reviews.  I have experience at writing for marketing purposes.
I also have editing experience.
